LEGO Batman Movie – The Best DC Wave Part 4

LEGO Batman Movie – The Best DC Wave Part 4

Then comes Part 4. Fun Fact: Brickset contains 2 pages of sets for The LEGO Batman Movie! It’s not my intention to ramble, but I find it difficult to keep up with the pace when I’m passionate about a topic!

Although I did not think I would need one for these articles I am now realizing that it is necessary to both of us to be more efficient. Although there is a Batman figure in almost every set, there are subtle differences due to variations in the faceprint. These minor details are not important enough to waste your time or mine. I will simply say that the Batman figure is the same with any of the various face variants. This will also apply to the generic Robin or Batgirl figures in this wave.

(70906) The Joker Notorious Lowerrider:

This is the set that I remember seeing when the first wave of waves was revealed. This was the set I wanted most. Joker and Batgirl were both the same versions as in previous sets. Harley Quinn however, was a new and wonderful version. A new hair mold was gifted to her. It looked amazing. Her faceprint was comic-like, with the red and black colours blending so well. An emo-styled body was presented to her, complete with a spike neck choke and printed spike neck collar. Amazing skull printing was done on her arms. It didn’t end there. It was too printed on her legs. I was impressed at the LEGO printing she did. As a weapon , she was given a-printed bat piece!

The lowrider was a great choice, but I couldn’t believe that it cost $50 USD. This set looked great for $30, so I signed up. It was not cheap, though. Its main feature was the suspension at its wheels. This allowed it to bounce around as it moved. Two Technic pins could be found under the trunk screen. These pins could be used to launch spring-loaded missiles out of the boot. It was overall a beautiful set but it seemed $20 too costly.

The Latest LEGO Sales and Deals

(70909) Batcave Break in:

This set was so action-packed. This set came with 7 Minifigures, so let’s get into them!

Batman

As I mentioned before, the generic Batman included in this set was only one of many variations released in the wave. We also got three additional Batsuits in this set. This set included a brand new Scuba Batsuit with a blue cowl. The under was a simple, plain white face. This suit was printed only on the front, back and sides of the torso. The suit came with four attachments: a scuba mask and a scuba belt. There were also two flippers. Also, the Raging Batmansuit was quite cool. It came with a cowl mould in dark blue and a cape. It came with a white, blank face. Although the torso was simple, it was nice to get boxing gloves in purple. The legs were printed with shorts in mind and dual-molded. The Batpack Batsuit was the final. This Batman was more formal, wearing a gold helmet and a white head. We got a black and gold dual-sided cape and a sexy torso. Although the suits were very cool, they did not interest me.

Bruce Wayne

Bruce Wayne received a new hairpiece, similar to the Superman one in the Batman sets. His head perfectly matched the cocky, wealthy and successful man. His torso was dressed in a white suit, which made him appear dashing. He was also given a bowtie, and a glass.

Alfred

Alfred was a wonderful addition. This set was just for me. A new hair accessory was presented to him – it was our first bald hairpiece. Technically, the piece was not completely bald. It had hair molded onto its sides. It was an amazing piece, and it was very original. His faceprint was perfectly fitting. But, there was something that I never understood about this Minifigure. LEGO printed a suit to fit his torso. It was a very elegant design. The suit print had clearly been adorned with a tie. Why would LEGO provide a bowtie for him? He was given a bowtie and a tie to wear simultaneously. It’s almost like wearing slippers with shoes on top. Like it makes no sense. Perhaps I have never heard of this fashion trend, or perhaps the bowtie was meant to be his collar. Although I do not know the thought process of these people, I have never seen a picture or person who has combined both. Okay, I’m done.

Penguin

Penguin was the final Minifigure in this set. He wore his iconic top-hat and had a very unattractive face. His torso was also cool and came with an umbrella. Two robot penguins with attachments were included to show his killer penguins.

The set is now complete. It was actually quite good. It was a great boat. I have seen very few people dislike it. But I think it’s cool. We got a decent Bat Boat to get us out of our way. One Minifigure could be accommodated in the cockpit. Two stud shooters were located on each side. There were also two spring-loaded hidden shooters. A duck raft was also available to the Penguin. Two flick-fire missiles at the back and a rotating motor.

The right side featured a Batman transformation chamber. The front can be placed Bruce Wayne, then Batman. Turn a knob at one end and it will appear that Bruce has transformed into Batman. The walkway was the only thing on top.

The middle was quite cool. The middle featured a huge Bat-Computer. A control area was provided with panels and a spinning chair. To reveal accessories for Batman, two attachments on the sides could be turned. A Technic play feature allowed you to lift a person off the ground onto an elevated platform.

To the left is a dual jail cell. A Technic piece could be rotated behind the cell, allowing Penguin to escape. A rotating suit rack was next to it for Batman. The knob can be turned to rotate the entire rock of Minifigures. This wave has more space for other Batman suits. The Batcave featured unique play features, especially the lift and suit rack. This set was worth $100 USD.

This concludes today’s article. These were both really cool sets. I might just purchase the Lowrider on eBay or Bricklink, as I really want to have that build. Anyways, thanks for reading and take care. I hope to see you next time!
