They all design beautiful furniture and decor that are unique and high-quality.<\/span>\u00a0It’s difficult to overlook the impact that some of America\u2019s most prominent designers have had on the\u00a0furniture\u00a0designs today.<\/span><\/p>\n

These are the most famous American furniture designers, who continue to inspire craftsmen around the globe today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Frank Lloyd Wright<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nOur\u00a0Modern High Back Chairs\u00a0are a replica of the High Back Chairs Frank Lloyd Wright created in the early 1900’s.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959), is one of the most famous architects of all time.<\/span>\u00a0Wright is often called the “father” of organic architecture because of his pioneering and defining the concept.<\/span>\u00a0Wright was the architect of more than 1000 structures throughout his career. Many of these buildings are historical icons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wright was most well-known for his contributions to furniture design.<\/span>\u00a0Many of Wright’s designs were inspired by the\u00a0mission and craftsman movement in the early 1900’s. They featured the same vertical rectangular cuts that are common in furniture from that time.<\/span>\u00a0Wright went beyond the American Craftsman style and created his own unique designs for chairs, tables, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wright’s furniture designs evolved from being distinctly craftsman to what is now called\u00a0mid century modern.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gustav Stickley<\/span><\/h2>\n

\nOur\u00a0American Mission collection\u00a0comes as close as you can get to true\u00a0mission and craftman design.<\/span>\u00a0Stickley was a key force in the creation of this design philosophy.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Gustav Stick\u00a0ley<\/a>\u00a0may sound familiar because Stickley is one the most well-known names in American furniture.<\/span>\u00a0Gustav Stickley (1858-1942), a visionary designer and furniture maker, was an influential publisher who was instrumental in the introduction of the Arts and Crafts movement in America in the early 1900s.<\/span>\u00a0Stickley’s furniture designs included a lot of mission-style furniture, but he preferred the term “Craftsman Furniture” instead.<\/span><\/p>\n

Adrian Pearsall<\/span><\/h2>\n

Although Adrian Pearsall is not as well-known as Frank Lloyd Wright’s furniture designer, his contributions to design are not forgotten.<\/span>\u00a0Pearsall founded Craft Associates in 1952 and went on to be one of America’s most prominent furniture designer during the “Atomic Age”, which was\u00a0mid-century modern\u00a0styles.<\/span>\u00a0Pearsall is perhaps best known for his glass top tables and walnut wood bases.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lawrence Peabody<\/span><\/h2>\n

Lawrence Peabody was an interior designer, architect and furniture designer. He made important contributions to the design world in the late-1900’s.<\/span>\u00a0Peabody is best known for his innovative designs and use of walnut. He was also influenced by Haitian culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Charles & Ray Eames<\/span><\/h2>\n
