Hello everyone!<\/span>\u00a0We’re halfway through the year and we are not yet finished with our DC Retrospectives!<\/span>\u00a0This time, there’s no need to linger.<\/span>\u00a0Let’s move on to the last part of 2017 LEGODC retrospective!<\/span><\/p>\n

Mighty Micros: Superman vs. Bizarro (76068)<\/span><\/h2>\n

The sad news is that 2017 was the last year for LEGO DC Mighty Micros.<\/span>\u00a0It was a terrible decision.<\/span>\u00a0These were amazing to buy.<\/span>\u00a0We got the new\u00a0Superman\u00a0for $10 USD. It came with his iconic hairpiece.<\/span>\u00a0As usual, his faceprint was expressive.<\/span>\u00a0The cape was shorter than usual and came with Superman’s simplified torso.<\/span>\u00a0This was the second Bizarro LEGO sent us.<\/span>\u00a0His face print was amazing and probably the most impressive we’ve ever seen.<\/span>\u00a0He was also given a purple cape.<\/span>\u00a0His torso print looked a lot like Superman, but was reversed and had different colours.<\/span>\u00a0Superman was equipped with Blue Kryptonite while Bizarro had green.<\/span><\/p>\n

The vehicles were very similar.<\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0Superman’s\u00a0was predominantly blue with two fists facing inward and a fin at its back.<\/span>\u00a0Bizarro’s vehicle\u00a0had the opposite reversed.<\/span>\u00a0It was purple with the fists facing forward and the fin at its front.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mighty Micros: Batman Vs. Killer Moth (76069).<\/span><\/h2>\n

This set features a Batman figure based on his Classic TV series appearance. It has a dark blue cowl and a light grey torso.<\/span>\u00a0His expression of anger was amazing and his torso was simple, just like all Mighty Micros figures.<\/span>\u00a0Batman came with a Batarang.<\/span>\u00a0Killer Moth\u00a0looked similar to his LEGO Batman Movie appearance. It used the same head attachment and wing attachments as that version.<\/span>\u00a0I loved his imperfect teeth and the glasses added a nice touch to the faceprint.<\/span>\u00a0Another simple torso.<\/span>\u00a0Finally, he was equipped with a blaster.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mighty Micros set was definitely the most impressive of all sub-themes.<\/span>\u00a0Batman’s helicopter was a miniature version of the Classic TV series helicopter. It had a spinning propeller and an open cockpit.<\/span>\u00a0Killer Moth’s vehicle looked like a fly.<\/span>\u00a0The use of so many transparent pieces was a great idea.<\/span>\u00a0With the miniaturefigure heads, and the telescope piece, the head was a great design.<\/span>\u00a0The builds were without a doubt the best in the Mighty Micros series.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mighty Micros vs. Doomsday (776070)<\/span><\/h2>\n

This was the final Mighty Micros theme for DC.<\/span>\u00a0After a missed opportunity to place him in a Batman Vs Superman set LEGO finally released our first\u00a0Doomsday\u00a0figurine.<\/span>\u00a0He was hilarious!<\/span>\u00a0The figure was really pop with all three attachments, giving it a very funny look.<\/span>\u00a0The torso and face were done well.<\/span>\u00a0To fight Wonder Woman, he was given a cub.<\/span>\u00a0The Amazonian princess was finally re-invented as Mighty Micros.<\/span>\u00a0Although she used an existing hairpiece, her face and torso had been made new.<\/span>\u00a0She received a shield and a sword.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wonder Woman’s vehicle\u00a0displayed a cute representation the Invisible Jet.<\/span>\u00a0It had a lot clear pieces which made it very affordable.<\/span>\u00a0The vehicle of the Doomsday was very intriguing.<\/span>\u00a0It featured many spikes and flame pieces at the back.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wonder Woman Warrior Battle (76075)<\/span><\/h2>\n

LEGO is a great company. I have seen all of their DC sets, including the 2017 sets, and I think they are still on top.<\/span>\u00a0This was evident in Wonder Woman Warrior Battle.<\/span>\u00a0This was a great deal at $30!<\/span>\u00a0The\u00a0Wonder Woman\u00a0figure appeared to be the same as the one in Batman vs Superman and the\u00a0discussed\u00a0Justice League sets.<\/span>\u00a0The printing was quite similar.<\/span>\u00a0The hairpiece was the same length and had the same beautiful dual-sided expression.<\/span>\u00a0The older version had almost identical printing on her torso.<\/span>\u00a0The only difference was that the base used a lighter tone of red than the darker.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is still one of DC’s most beloved minifigures.<\/span>\u00a0She also came with her printed arms, just like the previous version.<\/span>\u00a0Her legs are a continuation of the excellent detail on her torso.<\/span>\u00a0LEGO chose to use a baby-blue base for her shorts this time instead of a darker tone.<\/span>\u00a0Yes, the legs had dual moulding and printing on all sides.<\/span>\u00a0This is what I hoped LEGO figures would adhere to.<\/span>\u00a0To match her appearance in other scenes, there was an additional dark blue cape and hood, as well as her iconic sword & printed shield.<\/span><\/p>\n

Steve Trevor, her love interest in film, was the second minifigure.<\/span>\u00a0He wore a black Superman hairpiece and had a double-sided face print which didn’t fit the minifigure.<\/span>\u00a0This face print was funny to me.<\/span>\u00a0It’s impossible that the designers could have given him this faceprint without knowing what I’m about tell you.<\/span>\u00a0The same face print was used for Steve Trevor, aka Captain America.<\/span>\u00a0Both the Steves from Marvel & DC received the exact same face prints, which is hilarious but disappointing as both actors are not the same.<\/span>\u00a0His torso was perfectly proportioned for the movie and he didn\u2019t get leg printing.<\/span>\u00a0As an accessory for piloting the plane, LEGO provided him with a helmet and goggle attachment.<\/span><\/p>\n

LEGO does not make many military vehicles, so it was a great idea to have a LEGO official warcraft.<\/span>\u00a0Although it didn’t require too many pieces, it was stunning!<\/span>\u00a0It was stunning with its dark tan color scheme and blue accents.<\/span>\u00a0The propeller was spinning, and there were two stud shooters in the front.<\/span>\u00a0Steve could fit in one of the seats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ares was just as amazing.<\/span>\u00a0This build was inspired again by the Ant-Man huge build from Civil War Line.<\/span>\u00a0It was exactly the same as a minifigure, but larger.<\/span>\u00a0His amazing face print’s headpiece was created with clever use of teeth and other pointed pieces.<\/span>\u00a0Many stickers were given to him to add detail to his legs and torso.<\/span>\u00a0His arms could be moved in many different ways because they were both on ball joints.<\/span>\u00a0His legs were able to move exactly like a LEGO minifigure.<\/span>\u00a0Finally, he received a large shield and sword.<\/span>\u00a0This set was so underrated by LEGO. It reinforces my point about how well LEGO did with DCEU sets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parts of DC Comics Super Heroes Build Your Own Adventure (11914).<\/span><\/h2>\n

We finally found\u00a0John Stewart Green Lantern\u00a0LEGO form in a book called ‘Build your Own Adventure’.<\/span>\u00a0His face print was amazing, and he had a green glow in his eyes.<\/span>\u00a0Both his torso as well as legs were printed and were new.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Green Lantern Jet\u00a0was really beautiful for the small pieces it used.<\/span>\u00a0It featured an opening cockpit, and two stud shooters.<\/span>\u00a0This was an incredible parts pack.<\/span>\u00a0The figure is definitely something I want to own.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vixen<\/span><\/h2>\n

Another exclusive SDCC figure was released in 2017 featuring one of our\u00a0LEGO DC Arrowverse\u00a0characters.<\/span>\u00a0Vixen’s\u00a0overall appearance, torso, and leg printing perfectly matched her appearance on the show.<\/span>\u00a0She was an interesting figure overall, but it’s a shame she wasn’t more widely known.<\/span><\/p>\n

This concludes this article.<\/span>\u00a0At the beginning of this article, I promised that I would reveal the movie that sparked DC\u2019s greatest wave ever in Part 2.<\/span>\u00a0The Flying Fox caused the article schedule to be pushed back by one week.
