{"id":220,"date":"2023-02-14T08:00:08","date_gmt":"2023-02-14T08:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/?p=220"},"modified":"2023-04-06T08:05:42","modified_gmt":"2023-04-06T08:05:42","slug":"how-to-make-your-own-lego-marvel-comics-minifigures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/index.php\/2023\/02\/14\/how-to-make-your-own-lego-marvel-comics-minifigures\/","title":{"rendered":"How to make your own LEGO Marvel Comics minifigures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"16\">Since LEGO began releasing sets under the Marvel brand with the 2012 release\u00a0<em>The Avengers<\/em>\u00a0the MCU sets has been a stronghold for the LEGO brand.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"14\">LEGO has not really released any Marvel Comics sets, except for the Daily Bugle D2C set. Instead, they have focused on the Marvel Cinematic Universe releases.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"12\">It&#8217;s been more than a decade since we got anything X-Men-related and we have never gotten anything Fantastic Four-related.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"25\">To remedy the lack in LEGO sets of Marvel Comics minifigures, I have used parts from other LEGO sets to create a blueprint that will allow you to make your own comics character customs.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"1\">Let&#8217;s get to the point.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"2\">Hawkeye<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"9\">Hawkeye\u00a0has been a favorite Marvel character in both the MCU as well as the comics.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"32\">Although LEGO has released numerous Hawkeye minifigures over the years (all on the accuracy scale), LEGO <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"32\">has never released a minifig version that is the best Hawkeye rendition. That would be the Hawkeye (2012) run Matt Fraction.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-222\" src=\"http:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1056-768x858-1-269x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"269\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1056-768x858-1-269x300.jpg 269w, https:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1056-768x858-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 269px) 100vw, 269px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"45\">Fraction&#8217;s Hawkeye costume is a mix of a modern outfit (similar in style to that used in\u00a0<em>the Avengers<\/em>) as well as his classic purple.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"24\">This Hawkeye version requires\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.firestartoys.com\/products\/lego-super-heroes-minifigure-hawkeye-dark-purple-suit.html\">Hawkeye<\/a>,\u00a0Huntress, and a\u00a0dark brown short hair, with side part.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"36\">The Hawkeye&#8217;s torso, head and quiver are all from Huntress. Huntress&#8217; purple\/black legs and arms are from Huntress.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"49\">A black lightsaber blade, two black nozzles and two black hands can be used to build a brick compound bow. This bow can also be used with the Arrowverse characters that I wrote about a few weeks back.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"26\">You could make it\u00a0<em>more<\/em>\u00a0accurate by using the\u00a0dual-molded dark and light nougat arms. Unfortunately, I don\u2019t have that part.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"4\">Symbiote Spider-Man<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"15\">In fairness, LEGO did release a Symbiote spider-Man before but it was an exclusive to San Diego Comic Con.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"8\">It&#8217;s not something that every LEGO Marvel fan could get their hands on.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"5\">It is easy to create a Symbiote Spider-Man.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-223\" src=\"http:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1050-768x682-1-300x266.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"266\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1050-768x682-1-300x266.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.homeimprovementneed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG-1050-768x682-1.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"6\">This black-clad, wall-crawler requires only two items.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"22\">You will need the\u00a0Venom minifigure\u00a0from Firestar Toys and the\u00a0Symbiote Spider-Man\u00a0Head.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"13\">You simply need to take Venom&#8217;s head off and replace it by the Firestar part.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"3\">It&#8217;s super easy!<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"10\">It&#8217;s\u00a0<em>way<\/em>\u00a0cheaper than the rare LEGO version.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"7\">Black Panther<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"30\">Black Panther\u00a0is a minifigure that has been in production since 2016. It also features his MCU debut with\u00a0<em>Captain America, Civil War<\/em>.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"52\">LEGO captured King T&#8217;Challa&#8217;s look in his movies, which is the closest we&#8217;ve seen to a comic-accurate look from the 2020 Avengers line. However, I believe this is an interpretation of Square Enix&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Avengers<\/em>game.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"40\">You will need the 2020 Black Panther , the Black Panther , and the Batman cowl with short ears, open chin to make Marvel comics LEGO Black Panther.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"47\">Black Panther is often depicted with a double cape. One that runs down the back and one that surrounds your neck.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"38\">I think the Batman cowl, which can be found on most Batman sets since 2015, is more accurate to T\u2019challa&#8217;s look that the LEGO sets&#8217; horns.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"20\">This is the LEGO Black Panther, a more royal and accurate Marvel comics version.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"19\">The Thing<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"33\">As I stated in the opening, we&#8217;ve never received a LEGO version Marvel&#8217;s first family: The Fantastic Four.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"31\">They were in the 2013\u00a0<em>LEGO Marvel Superheroes<\/em>\u00a0but it&#8217;s not the same.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"34\">With that in mind I tried to bring my favorite member from the Four to LEGO: The Thing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"46\">This rock-skinned juggernaut will require a set of navy arms, a navy leg piece, a black utility strap, and a pair grey hands.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"37\">Although it isn&#8217;t perfect, I think it&#8217;s close to the right way to achieve Thing&#8217;s orange hue.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"28\">If LEGO ever released The Thing, would it be available in large-fig form?<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"17\">Nearly 100%.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"18\">This will have to do until then.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"23\">Falcon<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"56\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.firestartoys.com\/Search\/?Query=falcon\">Falcon<\/a>\u00a0is this list&#8217;s closest comic-accurate character. However, it was designed to resemble Disney XD\u00a0<em>Avengers Assemble<\/em>, and not the comics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"48\">This custom Falcon minifigure is a combination of the Falcon minifigure-heads mentioned above and the Falcon exclusive minifigure pack from 2020 LEGO Store.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"55\">The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.firestartoys.com\/products\/lego-mini-figure-heads---falcon.html\">head<\/a>, arms, and torso are from 2014&#8217;s Falcon. While the legs, torso, and hair are from the\u00a02020 edition.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"39\">A pair of\u00a0yellow hands\u00a0and thin\u00a0red shoulder armour\u00a0are also required.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"21\">This Falcon version is fantastic!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"29\">Doc Sampson<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"50\">Doc Sampson is one of the less well-known characters on this list. He&#8217;s a supporting cast member in many\u00a0Incredible Hulk\u00a0stories.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"41\">This character is not likely to be made by LEGO, it&#8217;s obvious.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"54\">However, the moment I received\u00a0Jay Garrick\u00a0in the DC CMF series I knew I had to make him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"62\">To make Doc Sampson, you will need only four parts: 2012&#8217;s The Joker\u00a0dark-green hair, an angry clone face, Jay Garrick &#8216;s torso and a pair\u00a0blue legs.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"42\">It&#8217;s that simple!<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"27\">Iron Fist<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"60\">Iron Fist hasn\u2019t had a minifigure in its history since 2013. That one was based on\u00a0<em>Ultimate Spider-Man<\/em>\u00a0and not the comics.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"59\">Iron Fist&#8217;s white suit is one of the newest creations of Marvel, having appeared in 2010.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"63\">You will need the 2013 Iron Fist Head , Sensei Yan&#8217;s torso ,\u00a0Titanium Zne&#8217;s legsfrom 2016, the yellow\/white dual molded arms of the\u00a0Dog Sitter\u00a0and two yellow\u00a0power surges\u00a0(mine were from 2018&#8217;s Ebony maw).<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"57\">This is a more obscure outfit, but it&#8217;s still very cool.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong><em><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"43\">Sentry<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"58\">The last but not the least is Sentry. This character, which Marvel attempted to imitate\u00a0Superman, is a very interesting one.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"51\">Sentry was first introduced in 2000. He was prominent in the Mid-2000s Dark Avengers storyline.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" data-id=\"61\">To make Sentry, you will need four parts: Thor&#8217;s hair, Sinestro\u2019s legs and torso, Sinestro\u2019s torso, and Sinestro\u2019s face.
